Introduction
Google Workspace Studio is a no-code, AI-powered platform designed to automate routine tasks across Google Workspace like Gmail, Chat, Docs and/or Sheets. Users can build automated "flows" by describing tasks in plain language. For example, to draft emails, update files, or trigger actions based on events or schedules.
Currently all Students, Staff and Faculty has access to Google Workspace Studio.
Key Features and Capabilities:
AI-Powered Automation: Uses Gemini to create agents that can reason, adapt to new information, and handle complex workflows rather than just simple, rule-based automation. Some features may need Google AI Pro to utilize.
No-Code Builder: Enables users to create, manage, and share AI agents without programming.
Cross-App Integration: Works across Google Workspace apps and integrates with third-party services.
Where can I access Google Workspace Studio?
There are two ways to access the studio.

In your Gmail, there is an icon with two chevrons on it. Click on the icon and it will pull up Google Workspace Studio

Go to: https://studio.workspace.google.com/
How to create a flow:
SAMPLE - Create action items based on an incoming email message (even if you have not read the message)

Put in the “describe a task for Gemini” a description of exactly what you want “Create action items based on an email message”

Click Create

You will then have a workflow created for you

Click on each step, and on the right hand side, it will allow you to add in more information

Once you have the steps setup exactly as you want, you will want to test your flow.

Once your test is successful, turn on your flow
