How to Request Training for Ellucian Colleague or CRM Recruit Products

UIS manages a limited number of Ellucian training licenses for new employees who need training on Ellucian Colleague or  Ellucian CRM Recruit.   Current employees who would like to brush up on their skills or learn about new changes in Ellucian products may also benefit from the available on-demand training material.   UIS offers the available licenses to  employees on a first come first serve basis for a limited training period.   

Employees wishing to start Ellucian training must first have a university email account.   New employees must setup their Pacific account and activate their email before starting this process.

Once an email account is activated, the employee must request access to the Ellucian Customer Center.   (Existing employees who already have a Customer Center account may skip this step.)  To request access, open a web browser window and enter the URL for the Customer Center login page: https://login.ellucian.com.    On the login screen, new users should click on the "Sign up for a new account" link.   Complete the sign up process by entering your Pacific University email address and completing the account registration form, then pressing the "Submit Registration" button.

After submitting the registration request, Ellucian will request approval from the UIS appointed representatives to confirm that access should be granted.  Following the approval, employees should receive notification from Ellucian that access has been granted with instructions on how to login. 

Once an employee has access to the Ellucian Customer Center, they should submit a Services Portal ticket to Request or Change Access to Colleague and ask for access to the training center.   A UIS staff member will respond when the training certificate is activated.  Access is granted for all e-learning online courses with the the training license.   Departments may fund additional instructor lead training as needed.  Employees wishing to attend instructor lead training should have their supervisor approve the training and provide UIS with a GL account number to bill for the training expense.    

To access the training site, login to the Ellucian Customer Center then select "Training" from the "Resources" drop down member shown under the "Knowledge" heading.   We recommend that all new Colleague users start by completing the introductory Colleague Navigation, Features, and Functionality (Colleague Navigation) course.   Additional  job specific training can be found on the Colleague Home training page where you may select from the functional area and role options provided to see the courses available.  New employees should review the list of available courses with their supervisor to see which areas of training should be covered.  UIS may be able to suggest courses but we do not know the requirements for each university position.

Once training is complete, employees should notify UIS that the training license is no longer needed so that it may be passed on to other employees.
