Problem: Sophos is Requesting "Full Disk Access" (Mac)

Introduction

Sophos is the antivirus software utilized on Pacific owned computers.  This tutorial goes over the steps needed in order to give Sophos Full Disk Access. 

This only affects users that have the Sophos Pop-up Notification requesting Full Disk Access.

Steps

  1. Click on the time in the upper right to show notifications.
  2. Go to the notificatin from Sophos ("Full disk access required") and click Options and then Details.  A Sophos pop-up window will appear.
  3. On the pop-up window, DOUBLE CLICK on "Open Security & Privacy preferences".
    NOTE: If System Preferences does not open directly to "Security & Privacy", then re-click on the "Security & Privacy" link in the Sophos pop-up window (this will open up the correct window)
  4. In the Security & Privacy Panel: Click on the lock on the bottom left corner and insert your password.
  5. Once unlocked, Drag and Drop the Sophos icon (the icon listed under step three in the Sophos Pop Up window) and drop it over in the Privacy Panel.

  6.  Click "Quit & Reopen"
  7. Click the lock to close it.
